Trip Route

Day 1. Pick up from Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Introduction

Your safari guide will be waiting to pick you up from Entebbe or your Hotel for your safari. You will then be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park, which is known for having chimpanzees. You will arrive and have a lunch stopover in Fort portal the Tourism City and thereafter proceed with the journey to the park. On your way to your lodge, several colorful and melodious birds will welcome and escort you. Check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 02. Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi swamp and community walk

Introduction

Today after breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the do’s and don’ts when you are with the chimpanzees. You will be assigned a park ranger and thereafter start the search for these beautiful primates. This Forest is also home to 13 primate species including the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and others which you will meet along the way. On finding the Chimpanzees, you will have a maximum of 1 hour in their presence, use this hour to notice every single action and ask your ranger guide as many questions as possible. Take pictures and then return to your lodge for lunch. Later in the day, you will proceed to Bigodi swamp for a walk and here you will spot several birds and butterfly species along with

Day 03. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Evening Crater Game drive

Introduction

On having a tasty breakfast on day 3 of the safari, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park located just 2 hours away from Kibale Forest. On arrival, you will check in for lunch and relaxation. Later in the day, you will enjoy a crater game drive which will bring you close to several mammals like the lonely male buffaloes and elephants. You will also see flamingos on Lake Munyanyange. After this experience, drive back for dinner and overnight.

Day 04. Morning Game drive and Evening Sunset Cruise

Introduction

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for having 4 of the Big 5 mammal species and these are; elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards. And during your morning drive, you will get to spot them except for the leopard, if lucky you will spot them as well since they are Nocturnal. Other mammals to spot are waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, sitatunga, giant forest hogs, Topi and many others. After the game drive safari, you will enjoy a soothing meal with some bit of rest. Later in the evening, you will go for a mind-blowing sunset cruise on Kazinga channel. The Kazinga Channel joins Lake Edward to Lake George and it is known for being home to the largest concentration of hippos. Other water birds and crocodiles will as well be seen during the cruise. Return later for dinner and overnight.

Day 05. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via Ishasha sector – Nature Walk

Introduction

Today, you will transfer to Bwindi for your Uganda gorilla safari tours. You will drive via the Ishasha sector which is renowned for its tree climbing lions. These lions are usually seen resting on the tree branches either after a successful hunt or resting due to the scorching sun. You will then continue to Bwindi and the distance will depend on which sector you will be tracking from. On arrival, you will check in, and head out for a nature walk to spot the different birds around and take amazing pictures of the surrounding.

Day 06. Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Experience

Introduction

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Experience several bird species which you will stop briefly to watch. Continue with the search for the gorillas and on finding them, you will be allowed 1 full hour to have an encounter with them. You will notice their behaviors and how they take care of their young ones just like human beings. After that, return to the lodge for your lunch and later, the Batwa will be ready to showcase their skillfully performances for you. This community were the early inhabitants of the Impenetrable Forest before it was established as a national park, therefore their life revolves around the forest, you will learn how they used to hunt for food in their ancient ways and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 07. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a Night Game drive

Introduction

You will have a relaxed breakfast and then start the journey to Uganda’s smallest but rewarding Savannah Park, Lake Mburo National Park. It boosts of being the nearest national Park to the city center and on reaching, you will have lunch and relax for the afternoon. In the late evening, you will start your night game drive which will unveil to you several Nocturnals including the leopards in case you failed to spot it in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Later, return for dinner and overnight.

Day 08. Morning Nature walk and Transfer back to Entebbe International Airport

Introduction

The 8 Days Safari Adventure ends today with a unique nature walk. You will go off the beaten path as you search for some species that are not found in any of the park’s visited, these include zebras, impalas, and many others. You will have an up-close encounter with these mammals on foot and ensure to take as many pictures as possible to help tell the story. Transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight.
